Regarding the media report of the indecent relationship of two military personnel, of Hualien Military Base, outside the military base, the Republic of China Air Force Command Headquarters expressed today (15th) that the military unit had completed investigations and issued punishments in accordance with the evidence uncovered, and the case had been submitted to the headquarters for reviewing. The Headquarters had ordered the military unit to issue heavy punishment in accordance with the Punishment Standards, and the personnel of the transgression had been transferred from their current duties.
The Air Force Command Headquarters stressed that, the Headquarters express their deepest regret for the failure of the personnel to observe proprieties and comply with the military base regulations pertaining to sex relationships. In future, the Headquarters will strengthen the education of military disciplines, regulations and gender equality to prevent similar incidents from happening again.
